Mathematics is essential to go through the day to day lifestyle. In fact, many people will say that math is a lifestyle, not just an academic element. One of those people is Michael Lacey. He has been an American mathematician for so many years now.
The interest that he has in math is often considered as a talent to him. Over two decades he has been teaching maths.
In 1959, that’s when Lacey was born, and he attended some of the best mathematics institutions. That helped him in attaining the knowledge that he has now. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Texas where he achieved B.S in mathematics.
Lacey did not finish his education at the University of Texas because he joined the University of Illinois to further his education where he attained a Ph.D. in mathematics that was in 1987. He got the guidance that he needed from Walter Philips so that to come up with the best thesis.
The career journey of Michael Lacey started at the Louisiana University where he served as the assistant professor.
After about one year working with the Louisiana University, he moved to the University of North Carolina, and he was offered the same position.
While at the University of Louisiana he was given the opportunity of working with Walter in research that he was taking that had one aim, and that is they would be able to provide the central limit theorem.
For about seven years until 1996, he worked at the University of Bloomington. After leaving the university the same year, he got a job as the associate professor at the University of Georgia state, but he was not given the tenure at that time.
