The world we live in today is where the pace of life seems to be speeding up. For some, this can mean that they are living their lives at breakneck speeds with no time for themselves or anyone else around them; but it also leaves plenty more room in our schedules! It’s important now than ever before when so much attention has been focused on working 24/7. To take care of yourself by simply just stopping disengaging from what makes us human: talking through story after incredible story while strolling along beaches overlooking vast oceanside views.
We should all endeavor to find similar ways these two quotes suggest because connecting doesn’t always require.
The stunning Colorado mountains are a serene escape from the fast-paced world around them. As you hike up one mountain peak and then another, it is hard not to feel that your life has meaning – there’s something so perfect about this place.
The information age may have brought us endless distractions. However, even now, in these times of technological advancement, we still need places like found within our backyards: quiet green spaces where people can pause between their busy days simply because they’re needed no elsewhere at the present moment except themselves.
In his early 20’s, Greg Blatt traveled to Telluride with just one goal: explore. He had graduated college but didn’t know what direction he wanted the next phase in his life to be. So it made sense that before making any decisions or moving permanently, this would give him time away from home and industry pressure cooker environment.
The point is even though we may have been introduced years ago at some social gathering, maybe over drinks after work.
When he was young and still living in Telluride, Blatt fell madly in love with the town. But upon being accepted to Columbia Law School while here on vacation from his home state of Colorado (and without even having applied), it became clear that this would be one relationship that couldn’t last forever.
So after 10 years or so spent trying out different careers throughout downtown New York City’s corporate world before finally settling down again at age 30+, our hero found himself back where all began: working hard each day.
